SUZUKI T250 SERIES 1967-1972 FACTORY WORKSHOP MANUAL AND ILLUSTRATED PARTS CATALOGUE
Author: Floyd Clymer
ISBN: 9781588503268
VP Book ID: 20213
Pages: 134
Dimensions: 8.25" x 10.75"
Description:
134 pages and profusely illustrated with more than 100 illustrations, diagrams and charts, size 8.250 x 10.750 inches. This manual covers the 1967 to 1972 250cc, T250 twin-cylinder two-stroke series. A compilation of two factory publications: (1) the factory T250/T350 'Service Manual' and (2) the T250 'Parts Catalogue'. The 'Parts Catalogue' includes the somewhat scarce T250 and T250R supplements and the 'Service Manual' will also be of use to owners of the T21 and the TT250 (see below).
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SUZUKI T10, T20, T21, T250, GT250 & TT250
1967: The T250 (Japan market only) released in 1967 was based on the T20 (1965-67) and shared many of its mechanical components with both the T20 and its predecessor the T10 (1962-67). In fact, the 1967 T250 was really an upgraded version of the T20. It used the T20 front suspension, tail lamp bracket, braced handlebars, instruments and seat. The engine was based on the short-lived T21 Hustler engine that delivered slightly more power than the standard T20 engine.
1969: The T250 became available for the USA and European markets.
1970: The T250-II is released. It features revised front forks, new seat and a tear drop fuel tank. It was also fitted with a cranked kick start lever to provide clearance for the high pipe scrambler model introduced that same year.
1971: The T250R arrives and the changes include wider tires, a grab rail and no handlebar brace. However, it was replaced by the GT250 (Japan market only) in February 1971. The differences between the 1971 T250R and the GT250 models were cosmetic only.
1972: The T250J is released. Changes include revised handlebar switching and instruments. It was also the last year for the T250 as it had already been replaced by the GT250 in Japan in 1971. However, to complicate matters even further, the 1971 (Japan market only) GT250 (a cosmetically enhanced T250R) was also sold in the UK in 1972 as a TT250.
