SUZUKI T500 WORKSHOP MANUAL & GT500 TECHNICAL BULLETIN 1968 to 1977

Author: Floyd Clymer
ISBN: 9781588503329
VP Book ID: 20219
Pages: 126
Dimensions: 8.25" x 10.75"

Description: 126 pages with more than 300 illustrations, diagrams and charts, size 8.250 x 10.750 inches. This manual is a compilation of 2 original factory publications for the 1968 to 1977 Suzuki T500 and GT500 Series.

The 2 factory publications included are the May 1969 'T500II Service Manual'and the December 1975 'GT500A Technical Bulletin'. It should be noted that the August 1978 'Service & Technical Bulletin Manual'is a combination of those 2 earlier manuals and it does not contain any new data or additional information for the T500 and GT500 series.

THE SUZUKI T500 & GT500 TIMELINE

The T500 was Introduced in 1968 as the 'Cobra' and it was subsequently modified both aesthetically and mechanically and became the 'Titan' for 1969. For the remainder of its production years, changes to the 'Titan' were somewhat limited to aesthetics and minor mechanical modifications. The 'Titan' ultimately transitioned into the T500II (1969-70) and the T500III (1970-71), the T500R, J, K, L and M (1971-75) before being replaced in 1976 by the GT500A.

Compared to its predecessor, the GT500 series was equipped with a front hydraulic disc brake, electronic ignition and a larger capacity fuel tank in addition to a number of minor aesthetic modifications. However, these 'improvements' would only extend the series life for an additional two years as the GT500A and GT500B (1976-77), before Suzuki discontinued its two-stroke motorcycle line in favor of four- cylinder four- stroke models.

Also, please note that the text in these original Suzuki publications was translated from Japanese into English. Consequently, some of the phrasing, grammar, punctuation and word usage may be subtly different from that commonly used in the English language. However the information, as presented, is readily understandable. In addition, while we have done our best to identify any anomalies, errors and incorrect spelling that may have occurred during the original translation process, we are certain that we will have missed one or two and we request your indulgence in ignoring them.

Owners of 1962 to 1978 Suzuki twin cylinder two-stroke models are directed to our website at www.VelocePress.com for a complete listing of other factory manuals and parts catalogues for this series of motorcycles

VelocePress.com has been publishing reprints of motorcycle and automobile manuals since 2003 and our publications have earned excellent reviews worldwide so you can be assured you are purchasing a quality product. We encourage you to exercise caution when purchasing a manual for your motorcycle or automobile as many of the reprints found on internet websites are from 'bedroom sellers' at enticingly low prices by individuals that really have no idea what they are selling. Many are nothing more than poor quality comb-bound or ring-bound photocopies that are scanned and printed complete with greasy pages and thumbprints and, as such, are deceptively described as 'pre-owned', 'used' or even 'refurbished'. In addition, they are often advertised for the incorrect series and/or model years.

With more than 250 titles in print VelocePress is one of the fastest growing specialty automobile and motorcycle publishing companies in the USA. Please visit our website at www.VelocePress.com for more information on our company and our books...$34.95
