MAICO 250cc-360cc-400cc-450cc-501cc 1968-1978 WORKSHOP MANUAL
Author: Floyd Clymer
ISBN: 97815885033091
VP Book ID: 20196
Pages: 122
Dimensions: 8.25" x 10.75"
Description: 122 pages and profusely illustrated with more than 200 illustrations, diagrams and charts, size 8.250 x 10.750 inches this manual covers all 1968 to 1978 piston port Motocross, Enduro and Gelande Sport (GS) models. Originally published by Floyd Clymer in 1969 with coverage for the 1969 and earlier 250cc and 360cc models. While this 2025 edition includes all of the information from the original publication, it has been expanded to include data for the 1970 and later 400cc, 450cc and 501cc machines. It also includes an additional 10-page appendix for the 1973 and onwards piston port models, which extends the coverage through 1975, and for some models through 1978. In addition, it includes the 'Competition Preparation' chapter that was omitted from the later publications of the Clymer manual.
The additional 10-page appendix for the 1973 and later 250cc, 400cc, 440cc and 501cc models includes exploded parts drawings with appropriate component lists for the engine, front forks, swing arm and rear suspension, front hub and brake and rear hub and brake. It also includes a detailed specification listing plus wiring diagrams for machines both with and without lights.
As these machines were designed for competition use, continuous modifications and improvements, without regard to the model year, were made by the factory in order to keep the motorcycles competitive. Consequently, the owner should be aware that the year of production is not a specific identifier for a particular specification. However, as most of the modifications relate to internal dimensional changes, they do not detract from the intent of this workshop manual.
VelocePress.com has been publishing reprints of motorcycle and automobile manuals since 2003 and our publications have earned excellent reviews worldwide so you can be assured you are purchasing a quality product. We encourage you to exercise caution when purchasing a manual for your motorcycle or automobile as many of the reprints found on internet websites are from 'bedroom sellers' at enticingly low prices by individuals that really have no idea what they are selling. Many are nothing more than poor quality comb-bound or ring-bound photocopies that are scanned and printed complete with greasy pages and thumbprints and, as such, are deceptively described as 'pre-owned', 'used' or even 'refurbished'! In addition, they are often advertised for the incorrect series and/or model years.
